Sam was in Glacier National Park on Monday and went white water rafting with the guys. Mrs. Hanson is on the left in the sunglasses. She was his science teacher last year. There is an instructor behind Sam and I believe the woman in front of him is either another instructor or Mrs. Flater. Luckily, Sam called his Dad for permission to go rafting. When Lewis told me after the fact that he approved it & Sam was going rafting, my heart skipped a beat and I had immediate memories of growing up in Rockville and hearing about rafting fatalities on the Potomac River. It's not like me to think so negatively! We haven't heard from Sam because he's been in Canada and there is limited cell service and international rates apply. If they are on schedule, they should be in Prince Rupert, British Columbia today and will be in Alaska tomorrow.
